Right now we are still in a holding pattern. We are hopeful that our referral will still come soon. Our reason to be hopeful is that some other families in our program (whose paperwork was filed before ours) have been moving forward in the process. We should be either first in line at this point for a referral, or darn close.
Please continue to pray that this will happen for us soon. It’s been a really tough road.
In the meantime, I (Curtis) have joined the board of directors for Hands of Hope, an orphan and adoption care ministry who not only provides grants for adoptive families, but takes care of orphans around the world through global partnerships and short-term trips. Hands of Hope gave us a $4,000 matching grant that kicked off our fundraising efforts back in 2012.
Because of what Hands of Hope has already done to assist us in our adoption, I am now raising funds for HoH through their 100 Holes of Golf event on Friday, April 25. My goal is to raise $1,000. Would you consider sponsoring me for 50 cents or $1 per hole? This money will enable other families to adopt. I’m honored to be representing and advocating for Hands of Hope.
Thank you for considering getting involved by giving.
